Hi! I’m Farrhan, though many know me as Dip. I’m a video editor, designer, and relentless systems tinkerer based in Kuala Lumpur. My creative journey started all the way back in 2014 with nothing more than a few funny voice call recordings and a YouTube channel (All of my old videos are deleted, but you can try your best to find them). Today, that hobby has evolved into a professional role as a video editor a media and marketing agency.
I tend to treat video editing as a balance between corporate polish and the high-energy chaos of "shitposting". To keep my sanity in check and avoid burnout, I collaborate with VTubers and live streamers to experiment with unconventional editing styles that- hopefully- stands out from the typical render.
I’ve always been driven by a mix of creative curiosity and a need for technical control. I’m a big advocate for digital ownership, which is why I’d rather tackle the challenge of self-hosting my own libraries on a homebuilt NAS than pay for a monthly subscription. Whether I’m managing personal libraries on Calibre and Navidrome or configuring a server, I’m at my best when I’m building from scratch. You might mistake me for an engineering student, but I’m actually in Art & Design; I simply believe the tools we use should be ours to own and understand.
When I’m not scrubbing through a timeline, I’m usually playing bass, shooting film, or getting lost in a JRPG. I’ve been a creator for over a decade, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
